Countertop Caulking in Harwood Heights, IL

The caulk line where your countertop meets the backsplash, wall or sink keeps water out of the cabinets below. When it turns dark, peels or pulls away, water gets behind it. We cut out the old caulk, clean the joint and apply a fresh, stone-safe sealant in a clean, even bead.

When should countertop caulking be replaced?

Replace it when the caulk is dark or moldy, cracked, shrinking, peeling or pulling away from the stone or sink. Those gaps let water reach the cabinet and wall behind it. We remove the old caulk completely and apply a new stone-safe bead. Send us photos for a quote.

Can you caulk over the old caulk?

We do not recommend it. New caulk will not bond well over old caulk or mildew, so we remove it completely first.

Is the caulk safe for marble?

We use a sealant that is compatible with natural stone so it does not stain or etch the surface.

How much does countertop re-caulking cost?

It depends on the length of the joints and their condition. Send us photos and we will reply with a quote.
